The History of Screen Printing

Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas.
Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as silkscreen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing.

Props to Dump City Dumplings for their LOGO! It can be used in almost any color scheme making custom screen printing easy on any color garment. LOGO DESIGN should be 2 to 3 colors. This does not just fall under the category of custom screen printing in Bend Oregon, or custom screen printing in Central Oregon or any market across the world. If the logo having more than 2-3 colors means one of the best brands as far as marketing is concerned then I say go for it; hoewever, you are making a lot of work and cost for yourself and your business in the long run!Dump City Dumplings set themselves up with a great name, one that is interchangable as far as diversity of color, a logo that can be used in great context in all mediums including interenet media and web design, embroidery, custom screen printing, or any physical market media print without any trouble or extra costs in the process.
Having a good brand is not just about the look, name, etc. but it is having the look, the name, and the fore thought to create something that will rock your market without breaking a start up businesses budget when moving forward with their start up marketing campaign!
Questions to ask yourself. Would your logo look good if you turned it black and white? If no, then I’d think twice about moving forward. Though you’ll usually be using your logo in full bleed color whether it is in screen printing, silk screening, embroidery, or physical print … their will be times you’ll be in black and white.
Beyond worrying about how your logo would fit in any market outside of Central Oregon, or Bend Oregon regarding custom screen printing, consider evaluate your logo on a business card before finalizing it. As a logo is shrunk down it becomes harder to pull off. Simple, memorable, and far from Goddy. Finally tape it to your bathroom mirror for 2 weeks before you say your final yes to it! Time and time again we encounter a new client that has had issues that don’t seem to sit well with them. When we decided to have screen printing (some call it silk screening) as one of the services we provide one of the first thing we did was get rid of the idea that we need to charge our clients Screen Charges. It is the one thing that has always upset me when I have had custom shirts screen printed for any of the businesses I’ve ran throughout my 18 years in the business world. Screens can be reused 40 times and you can buy a new screen for $15! We at Spooky Dawson do not believe that our clients should have to be hit with a charge that only exists just to get more money, which is why there are No Screen Charges when you screen print with Spooky Dawson Marketing Group of Central Oregon and Free Digital Mock-Ups! Screen Printing in Bend Oregon With Your Brand In Mind

One comment we wanted to make to any businesses who are in the start up stages is that when you are in the graphic design process of designing your logo please keep in mind the things and places where you logo might be used. Size, shape, and color all matter. A logo might look great on your computer screen; however, how about on a business card? Or in your email signature where the size is extremely small. Also, custom screen printing can be a huge and expensive venture if your logo has 4 colors, that would equal four screens. Spooky Dawson Marketing Group of Central Oregon is an exception to this rule as we do not charge for screens to our clients. When you think you have your logo where you want it… test it on random strangers and people who’s opinion you trust, people whom you know will be blunt and honest. Good Luck in your venture!
